Atelier NŌUA is an artist-driven studio and arena for photography as contemporary art in the Norwegian city of Bodø, founded by the artists Marianne Bjørnmyr and Dan Mariner in 2017.
NŌUA is an academic and social venue and a meeting point for both national and international artists. NOUA is a platform for temporary events such as lectures, art talks, photobook library and other internal and external projects. NOUA promotes debate and innovative thinking around ‘photography as contemporary art’ and wishes to create deeper conversations about the photograph and its value to the public.
NŌUA also houses a production unit and consists of research rooms, offices, dark room, construction spaces and a framing workshop.
